After a rest day, it was time to get back to work. We were scheduled for 3 school presentations but one of them cancelled on us due to some scheduling conflicts. The two remaining schools were smaller private schools (not Christian) where we were given the freedom to speak to their students. After the first general presentation, we were granted a few additional minutes to speak to their graduating class. We spoke to them about choosing to invest their lives in people instead of seeking to acquire wealth and to make wise decisions for their future. Of course, part of preparing for the future is to prepare for our eternal future so we also talk about being prepared for the day when God will judge us.

At the end of our general presentation in the second school, we had the chance to meet with the upper two grades for a question and answer time as well as the opportunity to speak to them about their future. It was a good opportunity to connect with the students and hopefully make what we had to say more meaningful to them.

For the afternoon, we had a presentation for children in the church who are part of the church's Compassion ministry which feeds, tutors, and assists children in other ways. Since the presentation was not scheduled until 3:30, we returned home for lunch and a quick break before returning to the church. The kids in the Compassion ministry are elementary kids which can be challenging as I am used to teaching teens. Though some were easily distracted, we were still able to get through our program though we did modify it for their level of understanding.

After the presentation, we had a couple of hours before the church service so we were able to get a little more rest as well as giving some of the team the opportunity to check their email at the internet kiosk. The church also fed some some empanadas prior to the service.

The pastor of the church had been away on a missions trip to the jungle and was scheduled to be back that afternoon. However, his bus broke down so he was not able to make it back in time. We still had the service though at first it did not appear like we would have very many present. But as is typical, the church started to fill-up as the service continued. The message was the RCCR method of witnessing which includes a solid gospel presentation.

After the service, a young boy came up to me with one of the tracts that we had given out at the end of the service as a tool to be used in witnessing and he told me that he wanted to ask Jesus to come into his heart to save him. At first, I must admit, I was skeptical, but I asked him if he had ever done it before and he said no. I asked him some more questions to make sure he understood what it meant and then I prayed with him. I also had him pray out loud and he seemed to understand what he was doing. I then had him take me to his mom and I let her know of the decision that her son had just made. "Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God." Luke 18:16
