Time is flexible, at least in Peru. Though we were scheduled to start our first school presentation today at 9:00am we eventually started at 10:15 and were told that we needed to be done at 10:35am. The electricity proved to be somewhat of a problem as our sound system cut out a few times since it did not have enough voltage reaching it. We are learning to be grateful even for PP&L. We quickly went through parts of our program and then handed out some booklets. As we were preparing to leave, the director informed us that she regretted having cut our time short.

We then took a small bus to another school where we had two presentations, one in the morning and then one in the afternoon. The presentations went well though there were some cat calls. I had to remind them to please be respectful of us as we proceeded with the program.

After a break for food, we returned to the first school for a presentation to another group of students. At the beginning of our presentation we were competing with the school band which made it difficult to hear each other and stay on key for our songs. We were however able to make it through our program and share the gospel with at least 200 attentive young people.

After quickly returning home and changing, we went to a small church for our church presentation for the evening. We actually held the service on a basketball court near the church and invited the neighborhood to come and listen. There was a small group of people present but there were also several people that sat at their windows during the whole service and listened to our presentation. I was originally planning on the service being for Christian but we changed it to be evangelistic in nature. After taking the chairs from the court back to the church, we returned home for some much needed sleep.
