While we have been in Lima, we have been experiencing some electrical problems in the house. Each shower has a water heater that heats the water as it comes out but it draws a lot of electricity. The circuit breaker was not made to handle such a load and we have had to have the circuit replaced to handle the load. This morning, we blew a fuse outside the house and had no electricity. Once again, several of us took cold showers.

Since it was Father's Day, many schools and other organizations have special celebrations and programs which compete for the attendance of people to the church, therefore, the morning church service was not very well attended.  We were still able to present the message and afterwards we had one of the gentlemen come up to me and tell me how God had used the message to allow him to recognize that we are really nothing and should be dead and therefore have the rights of a dead man (none). Apart from Christ, we can do nothing, yet through Him, I can do all things through Christ.

We then took the pastor and his family as well as my parents out for lunch. We had rotisserie chicken with fries which the team members seemed to enjoy.

As we rested a little in the afternoon, four of the team decided to hike up the hill behind the house where we are staying. I think it proved to be a little more challenging than they at first thought, but they all conquered it and were able to enjoy the view from the top.

For the evening service, we went to the church where I grew up which was very well attended. After our program, we had several people make a decision for Christ including one lady who was visiting the church who was able to talk to the pastor's wife after the service and received the Lord as her Savior.
