Four public school presentations as well as a private school was on our schedule for the day.
Our first presentation was to primary students at a public school. The kids were a little restless and it was hard for them to see us, but we were able to give them the gospel and then handed out some booklets with more information for spiritual growth.
We then walked to the private school where we were scheduled for a presentation. The school however was on vacation, so we moved on to the next school.
After walking several more blocks with our sound system (which gets a little heavy after a while), we were able to get a couple taxis and then headed out to our next primary school presentation. The electrical power was slightly faulty so our sound system kept cutting out which made it challenging to make it through our presentation, but once again, God helped us to share His Word.
Many schools have two shifts: one in the morning with primary and one in the afternoon with secondary. After the presentation to the primary, we waited for them to go home and then for the secondary students to enter the school. Since our program is more tailored for secondary students, the students were very attentive and were were able to do our full presentation. It is always interesting to see the conviction that God brings to the students as we talk about how we lie and steal and have broken the ten commandments and deserve the punishment for our sins.
After tearing down, we returned to the first school for a secondary presentation. This presentation also was well received though we were up a little higher than normal as there was not a nice stage to use.
We quickly "ran" back home to change and eat and then headed out for a church presentation. A couple of the students that we had met in the school earlier that day came to the service. We shared our program and taught about how we can use the ten commandments in our witnessing.
After the service, the team had a chance to talk to the kids and other people and the pastor shared some snacks with us before we headed back home to get some rest before another full day.
