We set out at 8:00am to go to IBB Los Surenos for a work day helping a local church. We helped with painting in the main auditorium as well as hauling land fill to raise the level of a room by about 18 inches so a concrete floor could be installed. Ryan, Andrew, and Chris shoveled and hauled wheelbarrows of dirt most of the day. Andrea and Sarah also took some turns carrying some wheelbarrows. As the dirt was brought in to the room, we had to rake it out and then lift and drop a 40 pound weight repeatedly to compact the new ground. Mr. Surrett and Joy took turns on with that task. Sarah and Joy painted in the auditorium during the morning. Andrea and Lindsey helped with some of the dirt hauling and spreading in the morning and then painted during the afternoon. It was a very productive day as each member of the team contributed to the work projects.
We rushed back home at 4:30 to get cleaned up and then return to the same church for a service that evening. On the way to church, the team was able to have a definite Peruvian experience by travelling in a very crowded bus. Chris commented on how much fun it was.

At the church that evening, we were able to have a clear presentation with our songs and skits as well as Joy sharing her testimony. I then preached about how to use the law in our sharing of the gospel.
