Jeff's Testimony
Though I was born in the United States, I went to live in Lima, Peru with my parents when I was 15-months old. At the age of five, under the ministry of my missionary parents, I recognized that I was a sinner and needed to ask God to forgive me for my sins. At that age, I did not fully understand all that it means to put my trust in God, but as time passed, I grew in my knowledge and faith in God.
As I grew up in Lima, I helped my parents with the church ministry teaching Sunday School and helping with camp ministries. After graduating from high school, I came to the United States to go to college where I studied to become a Christian school teacher. I did not feel that God was calling me back to Peru but I knew that it would be a possibility in the future. When I started dating my wife, we agreed about the possibility of going to Peru as missionaries if the Lord were to call us.
After graduating from college, we moved to Miami, Florida for two years where we taught high school. The cultural change was a good experience for my wife as the Hispanic culture is prevalent. Over the last nine years, I have been teaching in a Christian school in Pennsylvania and have completed my M.S. degree in Education Administration.
The last five summers I have been takingĀ groups of mostly high school students to Lima for two-week mission trips. God has used these trips to call us to Peru as full-time missionaries.
